It's amazing of what you see on the road. From shaving, putting on makeup,reading, using computer and even sillying themselves.

Absolutely agree with both of the previous statements. However, we are being legislated to death. A law for not using cell phones, and one for not reading a paper, etc.
There are laws on the books and they are not enforced, across all levels.
Relative to the "hand held phone"...I use mine continuously and have had the handsfree installs on my cars for years. The problem with the current thought process of regulating the use of the hand held phone is that it is myopic.
Why? When you need to make a call on the hands free and unless you have the voice activated model, you need to take your eyes off the road to dial the number.
This may be more of a problem and one that will need additional legislation to handle.
Why not just enforce the current laws of operating a motor vehicle?
