Instead of working on fixing our budgets, our lawmakers waste time trying to shake down movie theaters and shove Homo marriages down our windpipes.
Taxes are out of control at our local and state level and throw in record high energy costs and the picture is ugly.
I'm glad to see both of our Senators are looking out for us. They both voted against drilling in Alaska for our own oil, so they support record prices on oil.
They both speak with forked tounge, on one hand whining about high prices and then not do anything about it.

JackO - this is a gross 2-line oversimplification of the issue of oil costs/Alaska drilling. There's a little bit more to it than your knee-jerk analysis inidicates.

AB, It really is that simple. Like it or not our economy runs on oil and petroleum is in everything from gasoline to your computer to your vasoline.
The" treehuggers" have put so many restrictions on business some good alot bad. We havn't had a new refinery built in this country in over 30 years, so even with more drilling we don't have the capacity to refine it.
Now with that said, we should be looking into alternative energy sources of energy. A windfarm has been proposed off of Cape Cod, but it seems the Sr. Senator from Mass. does not like this when proposed in his back yard, but when they want to drill in the frozen tundra of Alaska where nobody lives he and other like minded people stand in the way.
