It is that time of year again...The 5th Annual "Mikey's Place" Golf Classic is scheduled for June 10th, at Goodwin Golf Course. As always, participants and guests get a lot for their contribution. We will be teeing off, with a shotgun start, at 11:00 am (18 holes with a cart) with a hot dog & beverage at the turn, and a full steak dinner with all the fixings after the golf. There will be trophies awarded to the winning foursome, prizes for longest drive & closest to the pin, a golf pro to give tips prior to your round, and then he will also take part on one of the par 3 holes during your round, beverages provided during your round, and, as always, a tremendous amount of raffle opportunities. Last years tournament was the biggest and best yet, and I am confident that this years will be even better (I know for a fact that the defending champs are coming to defend their title)! As always, all proceeds raised will go to the "Mikey's Place" foundation, which is used for maintenance & restoration of our beautiful park in Old Wethersfield, 2 scholarships that have been established through "Dollars for Scholars", and Families of S.M.A, which is a not for profit organization that provides assistance to families with children that suffer from Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
