As announced by Mayor Russell A. Morin:
“Wethersfield, We Care” is a community effort to supply items needed by our men and women in uniform in Iraq. We are collecting for both hospitalized soldiers as well as those in the field.
We are looking specifically for the following items for our hospitalized Soldiers (Please, new clothes only!)
We are looking for donations for “care packages” as well:
Look for our storage trailer around Town in the coming weeks with our “Wethersfield We Care” logo on one side and Old Glory on he other.
We’re also looking for volunteers to help collect these items. Please contact Pam Peters @ 257-7728.

- Sweats (Shirts & Pants sizes S-XL)
- Underwear (T-Shirts & Underpants sizes S-XL)
- Socks, Bathrobes, Shower Shoes, Personal size deodorant, and Shampoo
We are looking for donations for “care packages” as well:
- Tooth brushes, tooth paste, baby wipes (small packages), disposable razor blades, non aerosol shaving cream, deodorant, beef jerky, granola bars, packets of peanuts, hard candies, dried soup/microwave & other non-perishable foods.
- Or, if you prefer, you may make a cash contribution and send your check (before 2/21), payable to "Wethersfield We Care", to:WETHERSFIELD WE CARE
