It is election time and Wethersfield Community Television will be airing programs this month that will feature the candidates running for Town Council and Bd of Ed.
On Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm, Fridays at 5 pm, as well as Sundays at 9 pm, "For a Better Wethersfield" will highlight Democratic candidates for office.
A program highlighting the Republican candidates will begin to air in mid October and I will post the times here when they are confirmed.
A live debate with the Bd of Ed candidates, sponsored by the WSPC, will air on Tuesday Oct. 18th at 7 pm and will be replayed on Saturday nights until the election.
On "Wethersfield Live" Friday nights at 9pm on the 7th, 14th and 21st we will have members from each party on to debate the issues. This is the schedule for those programs.
Oct 7th, Democrats: Russ Morin and Matt Forrest Republicans: Rich Roberts and Steve Kirsche Jr.
Oct. 14th Dem: Christine Fortunato and Jeff Kotkin Rep: Dave Drake and Bernadine Franco Independent: John Console
Oct. 21st Dem: Andy Adil and Martin Walsh Rep: John Cascio and Joe Soja
We will be asking the candidates questions then opening the phones for you to pose questions for us to ask the candidates. I would also ask that if you have any questions you would like to have asked of the candidates you can post them here on this forum or e-mail them to me and we will try to get them into the program.
Also we will be on the air live on election night to bring you the results as soon as they come in.

I congratulate both WCTV-14 and, as a group, the candidates for arranging for these "debates." I know that I will be attentively watching each of them. I encourage each of you who frequent this forum to spread the word about these 'debates' so that as many Wethersfielders might be exposed to them and benefit from them.
According to my sources, the yet to be disclosed broadcast schedule for the Republican candidates is going to be entitled " YOUR 'A-Team' for Wethersfield," presumably suggesting more than this party's mere population of the "A" line of the ballots.
[To allow for the maximum time devoted to each "debate," I will be taking a back seat to the politicking and will resume my segment of Rick's show {Wethersfield LIVE}called What's Up, Doc?" in November.]
