The Richard M. Keane Foundation ( www.keanefoundation.org ) will hold its third annual "Caroling for a Cause" - a positive response to the 9/11 tragedy- on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004. Carolers are all volunteers who are assigned to small groups of 12-20. After a 3:00pm practice session at Corpus Christi, each group visits the Wethersfield homes of those who have subscribed to the visit, starting in the light of late afternoon. A caroling session may be purchased as a gift for someone other than the patron too! ~ Patrons of the Caroling contribute $25 (or more if they wish) per household for what is usually a 20 minute visit. Frequently the carolers perform outside, though sometimes they are invited inside for holiday cookies and beverages. And so it goes for 2-3 hours until the carolers are invited to converge in the dark of early evening at the Keane's house on Broad Street. The Keane Foundation, which is working toward the creation of a new sports complex in Wethersfield, welcomes all who wish to support this joyous enterprise as either a caroler or a patron whom the carolers will entertain. More carolers the merrier; more patrons - the better for Wethersfield!
