Temper Tantrum at Town Hall

After watching the Town Council meeting tonight (3-21-05) and watching the majority party stamp their feet over whether to support the Memorial Day parade committee request for $500 and the minority party try to amend the motion to $1,000, they went into attack mode on the former Mayor because she proposed it.

If this is any indication of the upcoming budget battle, the Dem's should stock up on tissues.

Councilors Adil and Forrest just sit and wait to hear something that their talking points cover and pounce like a couple of jackals.

Aren`t forrest and ADVIL Just beautiful?Then there is the Deputy mayor who doesn`t talk unless someone pushes a button or he hears the words''Public Safety or Police",Then he comes to.

Anything the minority or the general public suggests is dismissed out of hand with smirks and giggles and wise cracks. Remember that in November.

What the Democratic party forget`s is that the Memorial Day Parade is not about ''THEM".It is about our town and nation Veterans!!
It discusts me to know that there may not be grave markers or flags,Placed on the graves of those that fought for us.
For once it is good to know that money has been spent on something that is productive and not on the usual nonsense...

It is also entertaining to see the looks and jestures of the 6 certain people that sit up front.Looks are worth a thousand words and they are really being seen especially when that camera spans the head table.

You people should be asamed of yourseleves for this and having a 20 minute debate over it.
