For a person who only has 2 posts, you sure sound like a disgruntled postal worker. Anyway, I believe all the glitches have been fixed. Some of the boards are like slot machines, if you don’t feed them they never payout. I wouldn’t classify these as problems because it doesn’t inhibit your ability to post.  |

My post was meant in a most constructive vein; I just stated simply some observations and facts. I hope you have a good day - really! Closing with a little humor , just remember it is not a good idea to irritate a "disgruntled postal worker" (which I am not). |

OOPs!
Bill, when ProBoards did their recent, two-day conversion, I am sure that they backed-up each site in its turn first. Perhaps they still have an archival copy of your site from which you or they could use to restore that thread.
That thread covered, what, 15 months or more of some of the most revealing minutia of life in Wethersfield. Perhaps members or visitors here have partial or complete copies of that thread or parts of it that could be restored for viewing only. Unfortunately, I don't.
Sorry to hear that it was lost and hopeful that some or all of it might be found and restored.

I tried to fix it last night because for some reason it was unavailable to guest. Well, I lost everything and I'm trying to find out if the server back them up. Right now it doesn't look like they did. oops

Bill,
I noticed that when you moved the information about the school bus issue to its new location, you provided a link from its former location; clicking on that link opens a new window presumably because the "target" of that URL is "_blank". That section of the source code reads as follows:
I have no idea if you have tried this, but you might want to try changing it to target="_top" instead, if you have that level of control over the forum's code. If all goes well, the new window will wind up replacing ("on top" over) the originating window.
Just a thought.

Doc, I wasn't able to change the code but thanks for pointing this out. What I did was just delete the forwarding link so the Topic will remain in the the School section.
