I wish them well... but I've heard and read some things that give me pause. First, apparently there have been some building-wide phone system failures that have last for hours over several days. Second, there may have been an OSHA complaint because of unventilated welding being done in the building while it was occupied. Third, and most baffling, the chairman of the building committee reported at the last Council meeting that mold had been discovered in the insulation, but they were not going to look and see how widespread it was. They were only going to replace it if they saw it in the course of doing what they were doing.
Who is in charge of this project? I know Bonnie is the town manager but she can't physically oversee every single thing that happens everywhere in town. Is there a project manager?
Phones don't work, hazardous fumes permeate the building and we know there's mold but we don't want to deal with it. Our tax dollars at work....

Just add the Town Hall to the long list of projects without "expert oversight".
The High School Renovation, including the athletic fields.
With all the money the taxpayers spend on various projects, the Town should hire a full time "clerk of the works" to over see and make sure we get what we pay for.
The mold issue should not be taken lightly. Look at the State office building in Hartford that has had sick employees for years.
